I am from New York City and attended Riverdale Country School in the Bronx. During my free time, I like to play lacrosse and basketball. I also love playing and listening to music—I play the piano and I’m beginning to learn guitar. I was drawn to the Milstein Program at Cornell because I have a strong interest in the humanities, but also want to gain a foundational understanding of modern technology. I’m very interested in literature and philosophy, and I enjoy reading creative novels in addition to philosophical texts. But, I’m also very eager to learn more about technology and gain proficiency in important areas within technology. I think we are living in an increasingly digitized world, and technology has the power to create a lot of value in the world, especially with regard to improving the quality of life for people. I hope to apply the ethical and moral frameworks I have gleaned from my humanities education into thinking about new technologies and their implications for society.
