Hometown: New York, NY

Majors: Computer Science

Activities and Societies:

In high school, I split my focus between computer science and music, which I pursued through the pre-professional program at the Manhattan School of Music, where I studied classical viola.  My musical interests have since shifted to music production and electronic music composition, primarily using Ableton.

I first had an opportunity to combine music and technology when I interned at the Princeton New Instrument Research Lab.  While there, I discovered that the time I spent working on the technology made me a better musician and producer.  By understanding more fully how the signals behind sound work, I was able to use electronic instruments more creatively and effectively.  The Milstein program is a perfect home for me to continue to explore my passion in the intersection of technology and the arts, my interest in software engineering and entrepreneurship, and my commitment to developing ways of sharing new music technologies with persons who commonly lack access.  My other interests include cooking, photography, basketball, and following politics, nationally and internationally.
