Growing up in New Mexico, I’ve seen two challenges that have shaped the way I think about technology: the need for more sustainable tech and the need for wider access to STEM education. I’m incredibly interested in how tools like AI can be used to open doors for rural communities to receive quality education. At the same time, I recognize that communities like mine feel the environmental costs of technological growth. Through the Milstein program, I hope to research how emerging technology can be designed to expand educational opportunities without worsening environmental damage. Outside of academics, I love figure skating and have been skating for over 15 years. I’m also a huge foodie and love cooking, exploring new restaurants, and curating fun drinks!
