Throughout my life, I’ve been immersed in the outdoors, learning how the natural world can be a space for character growth and exploration. I’ve discovered grit from mountain bike races, problem-solving from building a campfire, and teamwork from long backpacking trips. That context guides how I apply my interest in programming. I believe that when technology is grounded in context, it can help us learn from nature and work with it – rather than against it. When I’m not working in project teams, classes, or clubs, I’ll find inspiration in and around Cornell’s campus, mountain biking, sunrise hiking, guiding outdoor education, or admiring Cayuga from the slope.
