My biggest passion lies at the intersection of environmental science and computing, particularly applying data science and machine learning to bird science/ornithology. So far I've worked on bioacoustics projects using computational models to analyze bird calls, and am studying bird migration through primarily data-driven methods. What really excites me is not just developing new tools, but seeing innovations make an impact on people and the environment. At Milstein, I am interested in expanding this intersection of birds and computer science to include questions of environmental policy and legislation, applying the results of quantitative projects to influence real-world conservation outcomes.

More broadly, I am interested in interdisciplinary problem solving and exploring fields that don't traditionally intersect. Other than birding, some of the other hobbies that I enjoy are folding origami, running, and juggling.
