The aim of this project is to create a website dedicated to gathering detailed feedback from Milstein students on course recommendations, professor endorsements, and academic success tips. This exclusive resource, accessible solely to those within the Milstein community, will compile insights on which classes to pursue or bypass, which instructors are favored, and the reasons behind these preferences, facilitating academic excellence among Milstein students.
Problem statement: In the Milstein community, there exists a significant gap in shared knowledge regarding course selection and academic advice. Students often rely on fragmented, anecdotal experiences from peers or outdated information when choosing their classes. This leads to a suboptimal educational
experience, with students sometimes enrolling in courses that do not align with their academic or career goals, encountering unexpected challenges, or missing out on highly recommended professors and courses due to lack of information. The absence of a centralized, easily accessible platform where Milstein students can share and access qualitative reports about classes, professors, and strategies for academic success exacerbates this issue.
Primary users: The site will be an exclusive resource for Milstein students across all four years, fostering a supportive academic community.
