I was born in Palo Alto, California, but at age three I moved with my family across the world to Shanghai, China, where I spent the next ten years of my life. In 2016, I moved back to the San Francisco Bay Area. Between my years in the Silicon Valley and China, I have seen the immense capabilities of technology. I have also seen great potential. More specifically, while technology has in part contributed to greater polarization and divide in our world, I believe that it can and should also be utilized to transcend the differences that separate us.
It is clear from the impending Fourth Industrial Revolution that technology will grow to have an ever more significant place in all aspects of our lives. It is therefore crucial for us to explore and understand as best we can what lies ahead. I’m especially excited to do exactly that through the Milstein Program by taking an interdisciplinary approach.
Here at Cornell, I am also a member of the Women’s Varsity Swim Team. Other hobbies of mine include reading, baking, traveling, and going to the beach.
